Jes Dory was born in New Jersey, raised in the north east & traveled internationally with her parents.

Dory graduated from Montclair State University, NJ in 2009 with a B.A. in Communications/PR and a Minor in Dance.

This East Coast native now resides with her husband, NBC’s American Ninja Warrior Ian Dory, their son Pax and English Black Labrador Kona, in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Dory has a passion for character development and imagining the possibilities in the impossibilities. Dory has been documenting, creating short stories and illustrating since 1996.

ISLE is Dory’s first novel.



Aside from her obvious passion in writing and storytelling, Dory has studied over 18 years in the Arts (Modern Dance, Ballet, Musical Theater, and Design.) She has practiced yoga since the age of 10 and is a 200 hour RYT Certified Power Flow Yoga Instructor, teaching in the Fort Collins community.  Dory is also a CTA Certified life coach and Ambassador for Yoga2Life.
